Members overwhelmingly confirmed experiencing shortness of breath and dizziness with fibromyalgia, describing how even simple daily activities like getting dressed, showering, or climbing stairs can leave them winded and needing to sit or lie down. Several members shared additional complicating factors, including emphysema from smoking or chemical exposure, asthma, potential heart issues, and postural dizziness or blackouts when standing up. A recurring theme was the unpredictability and frustration of these symptoms, with many members also experiencing excessive sweating and lightheadedness that can strike suddenly even after routine tasks.

I have had shortness of breath and dizziness. Not sure if it is fibro, asthma, or heart. Just know that it happens out of the clear blue. I could have worked an eight out shift, come home, and start getting ready for bed and all of a sudden I feel dizzy and short of breath.
