Because of the mask perfected, worn daily it's become a second skin. Do you still feel the need to hide, to not share how you really feel. Because even though we all understand, we all have been there, but we've been so conditioned in our fears and well validated as we've lost so much that even here you still have the same insecurities.

Members connected deeply over the question of whether they still hide their pain even in a supportive community, with responses ranging from those who now refuse to mask their struggles and openly share their diagnosis, to those who continue to hide out of exhaustion from explaining, fear of burdening others, or lifelong conditioning to stay silent. Several members shared practical shifts in perspective, including learning to say no without guilt, surrounding themselves only with people who truly understand, communicating boundaries clearly with loved ones, and recognizing that caring what others think often stems from anxiety, trauma, or years of invalidation rather than weakness. A recurring theme was the tension between wanting to be authentic and fearing judgment, with many finding that this community offers a rare safe space to remove the mask, while others described the isolation of living with family members who ask how they are but do not really want to know, or who expect them to work or function as if nothing is wrong.

And yet we get thru every one don't we.
WE ARE STRONG, AWESOME PEOPLE!!
And even moreso on our worst days.
When anyone complains about me giving out or being flat in bed for days, weeks, I think, you have no idea just how strong I have to be to do this. Like I just lay here. right.
So they can say what they want, I know the truth.
I'M FIBRO STRONG💪

@A MyFibroTeam Member. Hello there fellow Nana. I dont really have hypersensitivity with skin, a friend of mine does. I have light sensitivity tbough. This lovely affliction that we all share definitely has every possible symptom of every illness discovered. I really am blown away that fybromyalgia has been able to acquire stock in every symptom. Scary, the continuous adding on of symptoms, treatment and medicine. Hmm im worried that was this a masterpiece from Bernie Madoff, possible ponzi scheme. Lol. Just having a laugh. I mean the theories of miracle cures are endless, im awaiting for extraterrestrial intelligence theories to join the team.
Hang in there

person I know was going on how they'd NEVER talk down to ANYONE and I ducked down as quick as I could and yelled... WATCH OUT FOR PINOCCHIO NOSE!!!

no one this rock is perfect, even we fibros. today I made a neg remark and I got after myself for talking neg just because I was around a neg person.
it is contagious.
so I walked away from the person about 5 yards to breathe better thoughts, and tried to keep aware of what was about to be said by me.
at one point after the person did more neg talk, I said out loud to myself, I'm going to walk away before I say what I shouldn't.
and I did.
it wasn't my intent for the person to hear but they did.
but the neg talk stopped, so it helped us both.
