Members confirmed that stomach issues like IBS, GERD, gastritis, and costochondritis are common with fibromyalgia, with many expressing frustration that doctors often attribute unexplained digestive pain to fibromyalgia without offering clear solutions. Several members shared practical strategies that have helped them manage symptoms, including taking daily Prevacid or omeprazole for GERD, using kefir as a strong probiotic for IBS relief, and receiving cortisone injections along the sternum for costochondritis pain. A recurring theme was the overlapping nature of fibromyalgia and autoimmune disorders, with members reporting various gastrointestinal conditions alongside their fibro diagnosis and emphasizing the importance of finding what works individually to manage these challenging symptoms.

Yes me too, I suffer ibs, terrible cramps, bloat, I whole heartedly recommend a product called kefir, have a Google, it's a very strong "happy bacteria, pro biotic, the results for me are amazing I will never not have it in my life.

Hello, I have the ibs and all that entails, I do absolutely swear by a product called Kefir (Google it) it's a really strong pro biotic, with all the meds I take each day this stops (most of the time) my stomach being horrific.

Use to have costochrondritis so much but rarely now that I've gained weight . Had it in my sternum and ribs. My family dr. would inject cortisone along my sternum which helped a lot ! I was having Gerd when first diagnosed with Fibro. Twenty years ago. Been on Prevacid or Omprazole since. Can't do without it. Cokes are terrible for Gerd or fibro.
