About 90% of my fibro pain is always from my shoulders upwards, and having a sore skull, painful jaws, neck ache and pain in my face is something I have had to cope with for years. Unfortunately, most GPs will send you away with pain killers or antidepressants which is basically all the can prescribe for you. They help some people more than others, but too much medication is as bad as not enough as side effects from some of the stronger drugs can make matters worse. Tension and anxiety causes pain to be heightened so staying as calm and relaxed as possible is a key to living with this condition. Getting an accurate diagnosis is sometimes very difficult because the symptoms of fibro cross over so many other conditions, but a good GP who is knowledgeable about fibro should be able to check your symptoms.

There's a girl on YouTube that has severe face pain. She was diagnosed with a fibromyalgia variant call "TN". She uses a Cannabis roll-on she says it works very nicely

Yes, even a man can have fibro. Have the Dr.your mum is going to and be checked out. See how many trigger points you have. If you do have it you're a step ahead. Let us know what you find out.

Well..... maybe look for a Dr that is knowledgeable and believes it's real not in your head. Maybe it's something that can be fixed. Good Luck
