Thanks, Darla

@Darlea tell every symptom, what you cannot do and things you need help doing. Every little thing like cant mix brownies or lift trash bags. That helped me!
I filed back when I was 56 or 57 and was turned down. On the form, they say you can appeal, which I did. Next step I had to wait for a court date. Then I got a letter saying I was approved. I have heard from several people that they turn every one down the first time. So don't get discouraged.
Good Luck to you.
I was able to get SSDI for the symptoms it was causing.
I didn't get my SSDI until after I was diagnosed and had surgery for my scoliosis. I had tried years earlier and did not get it
I know people who have been given disability status through the court, but it is a process!
1) Get yourself a good disabilities lawyer. He will know what to do and what to say. It will save you lots of frustration!
2) It is almost standard that you will be turned down the first time
3) It will take you two to three tries before you get SSDI status.
