I recently noticed when my neck muscles are very tense and I'm in a lot of pain I have a lump in the back of neck. Does anyone deal with this as well? Is this fibro related?
Hi the lump on your neck is muscle tissue that is in a knot. Try stretching exercises. Hotpack will help to o. I've got those hot packs from the drugstore that the girls put on their bellies that are having pain for the monthlies and war that if I was working. It made things feel much better. Also a chiropractor or a massage therapist will work those knots out for you. 🍫❤️B
I do get those small lumps just beneath the skin in areas, but you mentioned one lump at the base of your neck. I have this rather large lump at the base of the back of my neck, and it is so very painful! Is that what you have also? I'm not sure why I have it. I have had a whiplash, not sure if that's why.
God Bless you.
I also deal with that with occipital neuralgia. When it flares up i get a knot at the base of my skull and the worse neck and head pain - like a migraine that starts in the back of the neck and keeps getting tighter.
If it turns out not to be the lymph nodes, look into that.
Yes I get them. My dr told me they were my lymph nodes. Didnt know if it had anything to do with fibro.
It could be your lymphnodes acting up because of the tense neck muscles. Something I learned along the way. But when your body is inflamed your lymph go into action sometimes producing little lumps by the nodes. Hope this helps!
