I have been dealing with depression along with fibro, was diagnosed in March this year. Dr switched me to Cymbalta to help with the pain and depression. I have good days and pain has been low. I feel low energy and dont want to go anywhere. I rather just stay in my house, the simplest things are hard for me to do. I just dont want to be around ppl .
I am wondering if anyone else feels this way?

Members deeply resonated with the feeling of wanting to do nothing and isolating at home while managing fibromyalgia and depression, with many sharing that even simple tasks feel overwhelming and social interaction becomes exhausting. Several members described forcing themselves to participate in daily life despite pain and fatigue, while others emphasized the importance of checking medication side effects with doctors or pharmacists, noting that even familiar prescriptions can affect people differently when manufacturers change. A recurring theme was the profound loneliness of losing former social connections and active lifestyles, balanced by gratitude for fibro friends who truly understand without judgment or the need for explanations.

I don't have friends anymore now that I cannot get out and about, or be on a committee, etc. No one seems to notice that I am MIA from the active life I used to have. I am grateful beyond words for my fibro friends. You all GET IT!

I am wondering if anyone else feels this way?" >>--- YEP. All the time. Mine was also side effects of the drugs I was taking. Have you always been on @Cymbalta? I tried @Cymbalta last year and it didn't agree with me. It may work for you once you have been on it a bit. Even if it is working for you - compare it to anything else you take, supplements, vitamins etc. I would tell your doc or even go to your pharmacist and ask them to go over it all with you... but if nothing else please DO read that little pamphlet with that tiny writing that comes with your prescriptions. AND even if you have been taking it awhile - they can send your refill from a new manufacturer and it is like a brand new drug and can effect you different! hang in there you are not alone. I pushed every one away as well. BIG HUG! Hang in there.

Me too. Sometimes I have to force myself to do anything including my writing. Then other days, like today was, I just give in and do nothing but rest.
