Were you refused PIP or ESA? If your condition worsens you can get medical evidence and send it to DWP. Did you just get a mandatory reconsideration or a hearing at a Tribunal?
I got PIP for daily living, I sent in more evidence, and after an ATOS medical I was upgraded to the full allowance with mobility.
I had a medical with Maximus for ESA which was a farce. The doctor gave me zero points despite the fact that I got maximum points for PIP. I was refused at the mandatory reconsideration, but have my Tribunal hearing in August.

HI Steph. I'm assuming you were on ESA. Since it's now more than 6 months since your "medical" you can go back to your GP, ask him/her to sign you off as sick again, and you can re-apply for ESA on the grounds that your symptoms have gotten worse due to the stress, which I'm sure it has. Make sure you keep a copy of every certificate you send to DWP. You can also make a claim for PIP. You have nothing to lose by trying. Good luck and gentle hugs.
