Has anyone experince not remembering certain things? I put my cell phone in my frig today. Yesterday I put a bowl in the kitchen and I don't remember doing it but I was the only one at hm. This is scary, just trying to type this took me longer than normal spelling is another thing I have problems with. My pain is a little bad but it has been raining and kinda cool too for the past 3 days.

I can't remember words and what I was talking about and I forget where I put things. It is so embarrassing to feel so stupid. I stay home a lot and I know it's not good for my depression.
yes the forgetfulness happens especially when experiencing a fibro flare, I learned to deal with this by writing down really important things, things to get done, schedules and so forth. yes it can be scary, I was in a store and all of a sudden could not recognize where I was or what I was doing there, I find that if I do some deep breathing and try to remain calm, look around for something, anything that is familiar that the episode does pass, when I am having a fibro flare I make it a point not to go anywhere if at all possible, if I do I put in my cell where I am going and what I am doing, just in case, also always have a map marked for home and can easily pull up on the phone how to get home, but mostly just try to remain calm and wait it out, the other stuff is small potatoes, bowls in the fridg, things misplaced, I learned early to develop a sense of humor about these things. been dealing with fibro for about 19 years now
@A MyFibroTeam Member I searched for people on this site who live close to me. I have met a great person, now a very good friend, who lives 20 minutes from me. We understand what each other are going through. We text a lot, go on walks/hikes together and lean on each other for support. It has changed things for me. I know I have her there for me and I am there for her in return. Just something to think about if you haven't already done it ๐
Linda, That happens to me often also, especially when I'm in a flare. I agree it's embarrassing, People just kinda stand and look at you like well??? Sometimes someone will be nice and give me the word, lol. I do stay home an awful lot, make a lot of notes, my phone is so great for that! But know what? The key word here is a sense of humor, I laugh at myself a lot anymore, or the little one and I have a great laugh when I call something one thing and the actual word is a whole other, know what I mean? And your right staying home is not good for your depression, people with fibro tend to experience depression, but is it any wonder? our whole world has changed, I do mean our whole world. I have absolutely no friends left, so I just figured even though I have known several all my life, they must not have really been friends, eh..I mean a friend doesn't just depart and never call or visit anymore, a friend doesn't make excuses if you actually have a decent day and invite them for a lunch date..right?? I'm not bitter, think I went through the stages of grief, It is what it is.
I've started taking Tumeric once a day.. and vitamin B12... it's not on the lable but it's other places that it helps brain health memory... it also supposedto help with inflammation...and pain... I think I'm better when I take it...
