Does anyone else get such sever Charlie horses that it curls your legs and feet clear up under you. Or your hands and arms into balls? I have tried eating bananas and drinking water, nothing is helping?

Members shared widespread experiences with severe muscle spasms and charlie horses throughout the body, including legs, feet, hands, arms, ribs, and diaphragm, with some describing the pain as excruciating and affecting their ability to breathe or move. Several members recommended magnesium supplements (especially magnesium bisglycinate at bedtime), increasing water intake, checking magnesium and potassium levels through blood tests, eating avocados for potassium, taking B12 for nerve health, and trying home remedies like pickle juice, mustard, hot Epsom salt baths, and Arnica gel massaged directly onto cramping areas. A recurring theme was the importance of staying warm, stretching regularly to counteract shortened muscles and poor circulation common in fibromyalgia, being mindful of dehydrating medications and food preservatives that may trigger spasms, and using breathing exercises and gentle activity to support mitochondrial health and reduce lactic acid buildup.

Stretching often is also very important with fibromyalgia.

The disturbed microcirculation found in FM clinical trials, keeps enough bloodflow from getting to the muscles.

That then shortens the muscle, and causes muscle pain from excess lactic acid buildup.

So you always need to be fighting that process, striving to lengthen the muscle through activity, stretching, and a healthy diet designed to feed your mitochondria.

See Dr Terry Whals website, YouTube videos, and books regarging, "Minding Your Mitochondria".

Try taking magnesium bisglicinate. I take 3 tablets at bedtime as it also helps with sleep.
