Members shared a wide range of strategies and medications for managing migraines that had returned after years of relief, including prescription options like Sumatriptan injections, Rizatriptan, Topiramate, Amitriptyline, and preventive beta-blockers like Propranolol, as well as over-the-counter remedies like cooling pads from the pharmacy. Several members described identifying and avoiding personal triggers such as chocolate, sugar, red wine, pain, and stress, while others explored alternative approaches including daith ear piercings, acupuncture, hypnotherapy, and migraine clinic referrals through neurology. A recurring theme was the deeply individual nature of migraine treatment, with some members finding relief through specific medications or lifestyle changes while others with complex conditions like Behcet's disease continue to manage severe, chronic symptoms despite trying numerous interventions.

I take immetrix when i get them, which is not as often as i used to, since my dr put me on a low dose of propranolol - a bp med used for prevention of migraines.

Yes, migraines come and go for many of us! Pain and stress can really set off a headache fo me. Try to relax, try a muscle-relaxant. ( Flexerile )

Get your daith pierced, the 👂 ear pierced on the side your migraines start or both. I got mine pierced on Aug 3, 2016 & haven't had one since. I had at least 2 migraines a week. Best money spent.

I tried propranolol too, did nothing for me, also tried epilim, and some other meds!
Interesting as heard about the piercings working, sadly doesn't seem to work with people like me with Behçet's disease but for you it could well be the answer! If it doesn't work I'm sure it's easy to remove!
