SpiritWalker hit the nail on the head hear! Try to slowly change your diet if you haven't already. When you have a sugar craving eat a piece of fruit or some Jello. I have cereal that I eat if I get a sugar craving. It is better then some other choices I could make. I know it is easier said then done. I am working on the same thing.
I get that way sometimes too. Can go without all the sweets and out of nowhere I crave sugar and have to have hard candy?
No idea why a craving for sugar would make you think diabetes since there are a Lot of it her sigNs that singnify having it and craving for sugar isn't one of them. Sugar craving tends to be a mineral inbalance that the body is needing but isn't getting.
I wouldn't say i have an addition to sugar, i have Hypoglycemia and if i don't eat regularly then i have to eat right away or i collapse it may be a chocolate bar or something sweet to drink or even a sandwich.
All I know is that lately I've been craving sugar major! I have never had this craving. I believe that it is from not eating what your body is needing. When I was eating very very healthy, I never craved any sweets or junk food. Anyway I ate two big donuts with creme filling and I never never eat stuff like that, but it was sooo freaking good! Afterwards I ended up having tummy troubles lasted a couple days. Ahhh nah, my system doesn't like it! :) Smiles
