I've been tested for diabetes and nothing was found. It doesn't happen often but when it does, I NEED sugar.

Members connected over intense sugar cravings despite not having diabetes, with many sharing that these sudden urges often signal nutritional imbalances or low blood sugar rather than addiction or disease. Several members offered practical strategies including switching to natural alternatives like fruit, honey, or jello, keeping sugar cubes or quick snacks on hand for emergencies, and reading food labels carefully to avoid hidden sugars in bread and processed foods. A recurring theme was the importance of eating regularly and choosing whole foods over processed options, with many noting that when they maintained a healthier diet, their cravings decreased significantly or disappeared entirely.

SpiritWalker hit the nail on the head hear! Try to slowly change your diet if you haven't already. When you have a sugar craving eat a piece of fruit or some Jello. I have cereal that I eat if I get a sugar craving. It is better then some other choices I could make. I know it is easier said then done. I am working on the same thing.

No idea why a craving for sugar would make you think diabetes since there are a Lot of it her sigNs that singnify having it and craving for sugar isn't one of them. Sugar craving tends to be a mineral inbalance that the body is needing but isn't getting.

All I know is that lately I've been craving sugar major! I have never had this craving. I believe that it is from not eating what your body is needing. When I was eating very very healthy, I never craved any sweets or junk food. Anyway I ate two big donuts with creme filling and I never never eat stuff like that, but it was sooo freaking good! Afterwards I ended up having tummy troubles lasted a couple days. Ahhh nah, my system doesn't like it! :) Smiles
