I'm not single anymore. :) But I was diagnosed with Fibro several years before I met an amazing man online. One of the first things I did was tell him about Fibro. He had never heard of it, but he went away and researched it (research is his thing). He tried hard to be supportive and understanding. He worked to learn how to do massage to help relieve the pain.
We've been married 6 years now, and I don't think I realised how blessed I am in my husband until I came to this site.
When I first met my fiancé I had symptoms but no diagnosis. I told him everything. the last year was hard with test and pills but we got answers and a diagnosis together and now we're going to get to married in August . He's been amazing . X
When I met my husband, I did tell him about the fibro and gave him all the information I had on it at the time. He still wanted to stay in our relationship. We were married more then 23 years when he died. I'm sure he was overwhelmed at times by all we had to deal with but I also had things he brought into the marriage that were hard for me to cope with. His first wife was manic/depressive and committed suicide. My husband and his children had a lot of issues to work through so we both had to be supportive of each others problems. My husband didn't know it but he had sleep apnea and asthma too. He also had a lot of allergies that had not been diagnosed. so we both had health issues. You can't predict what will happen in the future. Someone who seems perfectly healthy can suddenly die and here I am totally not healthy still living on. You take one day at a time and if you love each other it all works out.
Do you know Christ? It is so important in a relationship and communication....do you go to Church? A church that preaches from the Bible, get into a Bible Study ...talk to the Pastor! A personal relationship with Christ, he is the only one that can hear your prayers....
I told my husband when we were dating & married 26 yrs. Think he was relieved I didn't tell him I was a psycopath 😆
