Hi, I have had problems as long as I can remember. I do still suffer on the odd occasion generally due to stress but try herbal remedies and teas but try to get my body kick started with a warm cup of water with a slice of lemon in. Also drinking peppermint tea before and after a main meal helps with digestion. But as with everything what works for one might not work for another so it's all trial and error with all our symptoms.

Gentle hugs to you all. Look after yourselves x

Hi! I had colitis 35 years ago and I changed the way to eat (no more cow milk and orange for me). But last year, the colitis came again after 35 years (stress etc...) so I did other changes, I cut all gluten food, dairy food and sugar after 3 weeks, no more blood in my stool. So right now, I continue to avoid those food because it's decrease inflammation in my body and It's help to loose weight too. I make juices, only those are for inflammation. I drink Bone broth protein every day. Aloes juice and chlorophyll in water help to have a good bowel. And I'm feeling better, it's like I put my body in rest, so no bloating. But I will re-introduce gently some food to see which are damaging to me or not (But gluten and bad sugar, never again, I saw the difference). I had a diagnostic of fibro since December 2016. So it's really recent. I don't take any medication for both problem, because, they said, I have to change first my lifestyle the more than I can. Stress...it's a big big part... Every day, it's a surprise for the fibro but I need to take it day by day and know my limits and accept them.
I told my self : After a bad day it would be a good day certainly. I hope you feel better very soon!

Hi, my wife was diagnosed with fibro about four years ago. She was recently diagnosed with IBS after having all the test come back negative. She had bloating if the stomache, constipation and disrrarhea. She is now on s low Fodmap eating plan that avoids foods that irritate the bowel. As well as avoiding gluten, dairy products ect but This is working really well for her😊 she stays to a strict eating plan. But she is having great results. Plenty of info on the net about low fodmap foods and she got the tick of approval from her specialist. She is doing all the best things possible to manage living with fibro and ibs. Wishing you much success in finding what works for you/ lots of hugs your way😊

@A MyFibroTeam Member Yes I have IBS with constipation. When I was younger it was diarrhea. I have had the same tests and I am going back to my doctor. I had a Bowel Blockage a few months ago and the doc at the ER gave me some liquid med and I was told it would clean me out. It did not! I was getting rather concerned and remembered that when I had the Colonoscopy I had taken Magnesium Citrate. That was the only thing that worked. You probably had to use something like that before the Colonoscopy. Getting back on track. My stomach is big and I have very few pants I can wear because if it puts pressure on my stomach it stirs up the IBS. Sometimes at night it is uncomfortable if the sheet lays on my stomach. It is so disgusting and painful as well. Did your doctor find any Polys? I had two which he removed during the procedure. It didn't make my IBS any better but they have to be taken out to be tested for cancer. I have been taking the Fiber gel tabs and they help a little but also cause gas. With you having both the constipation and diarrhea I would wait and see what the doctor can give you to help both. If you find anything that helps, please let me know and also how your tests turn out. I know exactly how you feel! Hugs and more hugs

For me,my best product to stop diarhea quickly, calm and stay good condition the intestine (better than Immodium, because Immodium could block me too long and cause constipation and bad breath, sad condition too). So I took (natural supplement) UC3-J (name in Canada) in USA, the name is : Intestinal Soothe & Builder. I don't follow the recommande use but I adjust the posology for me and it's always work. I know this product since 2006 (also my no.1 product for travel for the family, in case) and I have a few capsules with me in my purse, from habit, after all I'm doing fine.
