My left leg feel like it's been chafed and is really sore to touch although their is nothing there at all. Had to take my PJ bottoms off as couldn't hate them on my skin! Anyone else get this and does it disappear after a while?😕

Members overwhelmingly related to the experience of having intensely sore, painful skin on their legs despite no visible signs, confirming this as a common fibromyalgia symptom called allodynia or neuropathic pain where nerve endings respond to normal touch as if it's harmful. Many shared that medications like Gabapentin, Lyrica, and Duloxetine provide some relief, while others found comfort in heating pads, weighted blankets, loose clothing, and topical treatments like lidocaine cream, Aspercream, or lotions with peppermint oil to take the edge off temporarily. A recurring theme was the frustration of explaining invisible pain to others who don't understand, the unpredictable nature of flares that come and go without warning, and the shared comfort of knowing they're not alone or imagining this very real and debilitating symptom.

It's settled a little bit today, worn baggy tracky bottoms today to reduce chafing but at work tomorrow and have to wear quite fitted trousers so hoping it's gone by the morning!! Thank you so much for all your input, I really appreciate it - hope you all have a peaceful Saturday evening😚

Thanks @A MyFibroTeam Member, yes I've also experienced this pain in my scalp and down the the left side of my face - my neurologist called it Allodynia! It's where the nerve endings respond to touch, temperature change as if it's a noxious stimuli! Had it for years and took Lyrics for it which helped for a while! Take care xx

Yes I get that too. It can come on with a flare of migraine and sore everywhere or I can get a flare of just burning painful skin. Sometimes I wear my clothes inside out because the seams hurts so much on my skin. Of course I don't leave the house. Lol. I too take Gabapentin to help with the neuropathy. Hope this helps. Gentle hugs and God bless
