I am wondering what all of you with migraine headaches take for the pain. I take Fioricet and also when severe Toradol IM. My PCP is hesitant to prescribe the Toradol IM and it has really helped me with severe migraine. It has help me not to go to an ER for treatment of the migraine. My neurologist retired and he was the one who prescribed the Toradol IM and at times morphine. I have not found anyone to prescribe these medications. My neurologist suffered from migraines and really… read more

My dr treats my migraines with Botox. Botox for me works really well but like most things that help doesn't prevent 100%. So, when I do unfortunately have a migraine, I religiously make my bedroom as dark as I possibly can and when they get so painful .... I just want to lay there and die! Oh my gosh, not to mention when lights start flashing all around my eyes it hurts to breathe, and my smell is so sensitive ..and any amount of noise is very painful! But thank Goodness they eventually get better even though it feels like a life time πŸ’œ

Www.cannidex.com is what I use. No thc in it only cbd, so legal in all 50 states. It's a white cream made with white crystalline cbd powder u rub on back of neck, takes 10 to 15 mins for migraine to go away. If u take every day it's a preventive. It's made by a neuroligist. Hope it helps you. πŸ˜€

I suffer from daily headaches. There are so many types. Right now my head feels like it could explode. But i have had to learn how to deal. Still working on that. In regards to migraines mine got worse while having more neck pain. I had a fusion of cervical vertebra 5, 6 and 7. My migraines got much much better after that. Then a few years later the migraines got bad enough that they were happening 3-4 times a week on top of my regular headaches. My neurosurgeon did what they call a laminectomy on my T-1 vertebra and my migraines decreased dramatically. Still can't figure out the daily headaches. My father and grandfather had bad headaches as well. I have degenerative disk disease and they say that is why my migraines get worse. Long story long... I would make sure you don't have some vertebral problems on your spine. They would have to do an MRI.

Fiorinal - it's a very strong medication. Many doctors don't like to give it. But that is the only thing that works for me.

I take imitrex for my migraines and I take 800mg ibuprofin together. I am still down for the count for a day but it definitely makes it less miserable!
