Members shared extensive experiences about finding comfortable sleeping arrangements while managing chronic pain, with memory foam toppers (typically 2 inches thick) emerging as the most popular and affordable solution, available at retailers like Amazon, Walmart, and Target. Several members described sleeping on their side with a pillow between their legs to reduce hip and knee pressure, while others found relief with pillow-top mattresses, Tempurpedic beds, adjustable beds, or even alternating between multiple sleeping surfaces throughout the night depending on pain levels. A recurring theme was the challenge of balancing firmness with cushioning, the frustration of expensive mattresses that don't help, and the understanding that no single solution works perfectly every night when living with conditions like fibromyalgia and arthritis.

I would look into a memory foam topper or like Michele has, the featherbed. Both let you sink into bed comfy cozy. I don't care for my mattress either. But it belongs to my boyfriend. We both have back issues and that is something we are looking into fixing. Good luck honey!!
Sweet dreams. Love and light with nice gentle hugs...Nancy

I sleep on a 3 inch memory foam topper at my friend's place, on top of a regular internal spring Mattress. It's really what I was trying to simulate when I was shopping for home!!
