The cold n heat makes my fibro worse the cold goes down to my bones n just makes everything so much worse. Plus it's hard to warm up except the odd I call then got flashes. Then I get to hot. Our bodies can't regulate temperature. It's hard to get warm n hard to stay cool. Not everyone has this problem.
any time the temp gets below freezing I am pretty much home bound. I stay home and even then I do the minimum. I also find in the summer temps above 85 effects me the same way. I have had to learn to allow myself permission to "just be" at times like that. Sadly at times my friends and family get frustrated with me, but the reality is, this is my life and this is my reality. I just have to remember the weather will change.
Any cold makes me hurt worse. Even the a/c pointing at me
My muscles spasm more and are more painful in the cold. My ankles and feet lock up unexpectedly when im walking outside and I get much more stiffness in my joints when its cold.
I rely heavily on electric blankets, hotwater bottles and hot baths/showers in the winter
The cold only compounds the pain that I'm already in as well as the fibro fog is so much thicker and more frustrating. I pray the fibromyalgia dies and goes away and for all of us to be healed.
