I use the @Aleve Direct Therapy tens unit and it does help! You can get coupons off of their website to make it more affordable!
I love my tens unit. I still have in old ancient one from the 1990s. It was prescribed by my dr. It is good for muscle spasms, I don't think it does too good of a job on anything other than my back. It can only be used for a while then your body gets used to the "thump-thumps" that the machine makes. I put it away for a few day then get it back out and put it on a different setting. Blessings and Hugs
I use a tens machine. I tried it once without heat, but it actually made things worse. With heat worked wonderfully. Start off with as low a current as you can handle, and don't raise it until you are ready. (your skin should get a little numb to it)
Make sure you're using appropriate water based lubricant before applying the unit directly to skin it will give you a burning sensation.
Mine did. I didnt have to shop for it. It was put on me in Rehab and I was sent home with it. My suggestio would be to ask a good reputable Therapy group or a good Pain Mngmt Group in your area. Good luck.
