Members connected over the challenging and often embarrassing symptoms of bladder and bowel control issues, with many sharing that incontinence, urgency, and unpredictable bathroom needs have become part of their daily reality despite being relatively young. Several members found relief through practical strategies including pelvic floor exercises, medications like Vesicare, bladder sling surgery, wearing protective liners, and always leaving the house prepared, while others emphasized the importance of seeing specialists like urologists and gastroenterologists rather than accepting dismissive responses from primary care doctors. A recurring theme was the recognition that fibromyalgia often comes with overlapping conditions like IBS, Sjögren's syndrome, and weakened immunity, meaning recovery from illnesses takes much longer and the body has fewer reserves to fight off infections when already managing chronic pain and fatigue.

I have a sensitive bladder. One day I can hold gallons, the other I'm peeing every two minutes, or have to wear a liner, (46 and 3 children, but I do pelvic floor exercises constantly). IBS is common. I think we all have it to some degree, but if you're not making it to the loo chat to someone about it as something more could be going on. As for taking an age to heal or recover, that too seems to be a common thread. I know I bruise constantly , get sick and take weeks instead of days to recover. I think because we have an underlying illness, our body is fighting constantly anyway, add to the fray a cold or other bug, and we have less to draw from then the average person. I hope this helps. Yes my bladder is getting significantly worse. Also my digestive system is a mess and the more I looked into it many people with fibromyalgia suffer from IBS, also I have very dry eyes and mouth too

I've just recently been diagnosed with sjogerns syndrome, had a lot of those symptoms and of course goes along with fibromyalgia, research it, but you have to dig deep to find out more than the dry eyes and dry mouth symptoms. I started having your issues at age 32 with 3 kids, I've had a bladder sling at age 42, very helpful.

Do you have a teaching hospital in your area? They have nurse specialist to teach you how to manage bowel and bladder. You need to see urologist and GI speciality doctor. And get new primary if your coughing up green that junk needs tested and right antibiotic prescribed. Sounds like pneumonia or bronchitis and Doctor should've diagnosed you. I have no patience for docs who don't believe me
