I have been getting the worst pain in my knees. As far as I know I don't have arthritis in my knees. I was just wondering if anyone else has this and if it's probably fibro or if I need to go to the dr. It's been especially bad because I have been going up and down basement stairs putting fall decorations away and getting out a few Christmas decorations. I wake up in the morning with this pain even before I get out of bed. I'm telling you, I just feel like I'm falling apart! Thanks for any… read more

Members overwhelmingly validated the experience of knee pain in fibromyalgia, with many describing similar symptoms including aching, weakness, swelling, and knees that sometimes give out unexpectedly. Several members shared practical strategies that have helped them, including physical therapy to build leg strength, using walking sticks for support, omega supplements to reduce inflammation, and cortisone or synvisc injections for severe cases. A recurring theme was the importance of seeing a doctor to rule out arthritis or other causes while acknowledging that knee pain can be a fibro symptom itself, often worsened by overexertion or weak leg muscles.

Yes I use to have knee pain, I take Omega XL.. you can't get it in the stores ., look up on line and get info... But this natural pain reliever has reduced the swelling in my knees and addressed the pain note for me about 6 years. I recommend that...

Thanks to all of you!! It has helped me a lot. @A MyFibroTeam Member, I also have weakness in other parts of my legs and my arms too. This also has just started lately. It just seems like I'm falling apart! I guess maybe I need to see my Dr. and see what he has to say. I just hate going to dr. tho. I had to do a lot of walking today and now they are thumping.

Yes I do! I have osteoarthritis in most of my joints and my knees are the worst. I have had kenalog, cortisone and synvisc (spelling?) injections in my left knee...no fun!
