Purple Ribbon - This color is a symbol of pancreatic cancer, domestic violence, religious tolerance, animal abuse, the victims of 9/11 including the police and firefighters, Crohn's disease and colitis, Alzheimer's, rett syndrome, cystic fibrosis, lupus, fibromyalgia & epilepsy, chronic urticaria (hives), Chiari malformation
Marci62 id be careful with getting any red or pink ink if you have reactions to a lot of things. Red coloured inks cause problems for a lot of people x
And the Cranberry Ribbon is for Fibromyalgia and TMJ
The disease of Fibromyalgia has a stand alone color of cranberry, this is from the National Fibromyalgia Association. Purple is still for the awareness of Fibromyalgia. The Fibromyalgia Association changed the the color because so many other diseases share the color of purple they wanted Fibromyalgia to has its own color so it would not be seen a Lupus, RA, Alzheimer's, Pancreatic Cancer, Crohn's Disease, Animal abuse, Cystic Fibrosis, Thyroid Cancer,ADD(Attention Deficit Disease, Sarcoidsis Awareness, and Religious Tolerance.
As you all can see the list is many, they want Fibromyalgia to been alone so their is no confusion. So they changed the color to Cranberry which has no other disease with it ,it is calls a stand alone color. See my other post in regards to this!
