I know we have talked about this before, but I have looked online and can't find any where that says the fibromyalgia awareness color has changed from purple to cranberry. I have joined a few groups on facebook and nobody has said anything there either. I think it is great that we have ur own color so that people are not confused. Just curious!!

Members engaged in a lively discussion about whether fibromyalgia's awareness color has officially changed from purple to cranberry, with most agreeing that purple remains widely recognized while cranberry appears on some organizational websites like fmaware.org. Several members expressed attachment to the lavender butterfly symbol, noting that the butterfly represents the delicate yet fighting spirit of those living with fibro, and many shared concerns that purple is already used for multiple conditions like epilepsy, lupus, and cystic fibrosis, making a distinct color valuable for clarity. A recurring theme was the desire for fibromyalgia to have its own unique identifier, with creative suggestions including a rainbow-colored butterfly to represent the diverse symptoms and illnesses connected to fibro, while others emphasized staying with purple since it's already synonymous with the condition.

Personally I prefer the lavander colour, it's synonymous now and if we start trying to change it it will look as though we can't make up our minds.
I will forever be a lavender warrior and on the plus side the beautiful smell aides in a peaceful slumber and neat lavender oil can relieve tension headaches x
