Members overwhelmingly related to experiencing severe neck and upper back pain that worsens at night and in the mornings, with many describing constant knots, stiffness that takes hours to loosen, and pain severe enough to disrupt sleep despite medication. Several members shared practical strategies that provided at least temporary relief, including heat and ice packs, lidocaine patches, BioFreeze spray, heating blankets, frequent pillow changes, chiropractic care, massage, acupuncture, trigger point injections, nerve ablation procedures, and deep tissue massage, though many noted the pain never fully goes away. A recurring theme was the emotional toll of waking up in pain daily, the trial-and-error search for relief, and the community's mutual understanding and support through prayers, hugs, and encouragement to keep trying different approaches.

I have been to a new osteopathic doctor. Always went Chiro before. This was my 1st try at osteopathic. DEEP tissue massage in neck, shoulder blades, tennis elbow, golfers elbow. Holy cow it bloody hurt. Guess what?? It works!! No more cortisone needles for me. He hates them & knows they don't really work & give him a chance to prove his method works.. Thought I would die from the pain while he was massaging my forearms ligaments, tendons. Hot/cold packs 10 minutes each 4 times. If you can be really tough & stand the pain, it's the best thing I've come across so far. I've been 3 visits now & he worked on my hips, buttocks & upper legs. Again, terribly painful. But I slept like a stone for 7 nights now. No tossing around trying to stop the sore points. I'm only taking 75mg. Lyrica/1 at night now. Feel more clear headed un day. No more nanny naps either.

My neck, shoulders and upper back are the worst! I can't remember the last time I felt no pain in those areas! I do use a memory foam topper on my matress and have memory foam pillows. That seems to help a little but pain never goes away. Wish I could give you words that would help but I have honestly found nothing :( All I have is my prayers and pray you find some relief.

I think most of us do. A good posture pillow a massage or bath before bedtime may help

I use hot and cold packs and over the counter pain patches, I change pillows all the time looking for the perfect one. I have had my neck jammed a couple of times so I also see my chiropractor regularly. Hope some of this helps. Prayers and Hugs
