I know that diet plays a role in just about everything, but I was wondering if anyone has suggestions on a diet to try? And potentially exercises as well? I know if I lose some weight it will help some. Thank you guys!
Yeah, I'm trying get to cut caffeine and how much sugar is consumed but it's hard. I can't really afford to go all organic though. :( I have IBS as well so a diet change would be nice. It stinks because the best foods are the worst lol
I reduced the amount of carbs I eat and this helped me. I lost 4 lbs and have kept if off for a year now. Protein is really good for the muscles. If you're not a big meat eater, you can try making a whey protein drink like I do. Fewer ingredients the better for the whey drink. Gentle stretching exercises throughout the day help with the stiffness and lower the pain a tad. Hope this helps.
Daily walking, biking, swimming, stretching are all recommended for FMS. Use a set of light hand weights, like 3 lbs, to start muscle conditioning. Low weight, high reps...start with as many reps as you are comfortable with, work up to 30 at a time. Work all muscle groups two to three times a week. If you can join a gym with a pool, water aerobic classes and yoga are wonderful.
I bought a paleo recipe book for crockpot meals. Simple ingredients and easy to put on and forget about it. Typically I am too tired or forgot to get something started for dinner. When I did lose some weight last year, ate smarter dinner meals. I felt better. Not a magic solution but I found that inflammation wasn't as bad. I also have a cheap recumbent cycle machine that I bought from a secondhand site and try to pedal to my hearts content.
