I hate stairs, especially coming down them. I have mobility issues which makes them difficult to start off but balance due to continued vertigo is not good at all.
I had a visit from my Occupational Therapy nurse who has recommended a stairlift and am waiting a feasibility test to see if areas at top and bottom of stairs allow for one. If not she will recommend that I get a downstairs adapted bathroom and bedroom for which I will get a grant to build and fit out. Obviously have said prayers for the latter and more would help
Gentle hugs and God bless xx
If stairs are a problem, I go down them on my bottom. I put my hands on either side of myself and carefully lower to each step. Going up is harder, I face the stairs and crawl on my hands and knees. If necessary essay I use the hand rail to hoist myself a little. Gentle hugs xx
I have similar problems. I only take a bath because I worry about falling in the shower.
