Lawton, OK

I know there is fibro fog, but geez! I can walk down a flight of stairs and then think later, wow I know I was upstairs, but don't remember walking down the stairs. Anybody else??

Yes, happens all the time. Everybody gets it sometimes but people with FM seem to get it a lot. I have atheory that an area of our brain is being constantly distracted by pain and this diminishes our ability to concentrate and stay focused. May not be the case but something is going on.

@A MyFibroTeam Member, interesting theory! You know you could very well be right! I always think I'm so busy trying to look normal and not walk funny, or have a grimace on my face when I move etc. that my brain is to busy to think of everyday normal stuff. I can't remember names of individuals I have know for quite a while. Yet when I get someplace safe, my car, home, etc, I remember their name. And then sometimes I remember their last name first. When shopping yesterday I couldn't tell my husband who the lady was that just hugged me because I couldn't remember her name. But 10 steps later when we are in the car I blurt her name out! Anyways, Giraffe, I like your theory! Thanks for sharing!

That's a good one. I have had fibro long enough to learn to laugh at the stupid little things I do. I have special places I put keys and phone and important things or I can't remember where they are. I don't light candles anymore and I double check hot things like the stove all the time to make sure they are off.I park in the same areas at stores I frequent so I can remember where I park. All these little things you learn to do that other people don't realize.

Lol get this all the time I have been meaning to post an answer for a couple days but get distracted and forget to do it then your question pops up reminds me, then I make a cup of tea and forget again, but not tonight, in short yes all the time sometimes it's funny other times it's a proper pain in the ass, I try writing things down and doing what I am supposed too there and then otherwise it's gone out my head, very frustrating, good luck if you find a way of helping post it
