I was diagnosed last month. I've been on Cymbalta for three weeks now with no relief. I have been having days where I get depressed(more than usual) because of all the symptoms that come with fibromyalgia. I just want to lay in bed and feel sorry for myself. I don't do that though. Make sure to take Magnesium every day. Works on nerves and muscles but not instant fix. And now that you cut dairy make sure to get enough calcium and D3. They work together for proper absorption. Give it time. I know a few people with migraines it has helped a lot, including me. π
Gentle hugs. I am hoping there is some relief soon.
Cymbalta takes a while to kick in....Up to 6 weeks. And then may have to up the dose. Give it time. It works for me, but not for everyone. Good luck π
I'm so sorry, Tammy. Please find a doctor to get on medication. Don't wait for them. You have children and that's a beautiful thing. I'm glad that you continue to stay strong for them. Take care of yourself so that you can continue to be there for them. I'm here if you ever need to talk. I've been on antidepressants and other psych meds since I was 15. I'm 41 now. I understand the feelings of desperation and hopelessness. You don't have to do this alone.
Sounds like what they put you on isn't the right Meds for you. I get depressed too though luckily most of the time it's not debilitating. Take to your doctor and tell him you feel worse and it's not helping maybe you can try something different or combine the use of two Meds to help you through. When I'm having a bad time of it I find a good cry and good night sleep makes a world of difference
