If you're cold your muscles tense up, which with fibro, is not a good thing. Especially if they've been tensed for a long period of time.
I would take a hit shower, if you can, then go to pt and repeat when you get home, if you can. That worked the best for me. Not always great but at least better.
Cold makes my fibro and migraines much worse. Thankfully I only deal with it a couple weeks per year in the winter, but even the air conditioning has a negative effect on me. I bought polar fleece sheets that keep me toasty and I bundle up even when everyone else is comfortable. I wouldn't stop PT unless you absolutely have to, but I would stock up on fuzzy socks, gloves, hats, anything that keeps you warm and comfy.
Oh yes, the 13 years I was in Michigan just about killed me. I have been back home since 2002. The winters are cold here, but don't last as long as they do up there.....anything damp too.
Cold weather definitely makes my pain worse. I try to stay as warm as I possibly can. Exercise does help me as long as I don't over exert.
