Dry Mouth

HELP

I have always had a slight dry mouth but since starting nortriptyline my mouth is dry constantly.

I've been chewing gum, drinking loads of water which then means I need the toilet loads.

Any ideas to try and help?

Unless your dentist has a legit reason for you not to use it, I suggest switching to Biotine. I only say that because I use it myself for dry mouth issues. I've tried sucking on hard candies, drinking water by the gallons, and just doing what I can to keep my mouth moisturized, but nothing helped. I asked my pain doc one day if he had any suggestions, and he said that he's had other patients tell him the same thing and they've praised Biotene. It comes in several forms - toothpaste, mouthwash, mouth spray, and gel - are the ones I've tried, and they seem to work pretty well. You don't have to use all of them. Just find the one that works best for you, and stick with it. If you're on the go a lot, the gel is pretty great, and I use the mouthwash before bed and after breakfast in the morning (after brushing my teeth, obvs.).

I hope this helps, and I have been in no way compensated for my endorsement for Biotene. I just know that it helped me, and I hope it can do the same for you. :)

I use Biotene. There are lozenges, a spray & a mouth rinse for dry mouth.

So many of you will argue with me over this but I'm saying it because it works for me and I take 12 pills each morning and 14 each night ....
I have dry mouth I brush my teeth I can drink gallons of water but it won't go but and this is a big one .... One can of relentless energy drink and my dry mouth is no longer dry, my teeth are healthy as I have regular check ups ... But it's odd that an energy drink can defeat dry mouth ....
The added bonus of having energy to either get up and shower or do something is great but honestly and I'm begging of one of you poor sufferers to try it out.... It works for me every time xxxx
And as I said at the beginning I don't want to be hated on for do I know how bad they are and such , because yes I do but the boost outweighs the possible cost to me.
