My family have shown anger and frustration at my diagnosis so when they're around just feel liking running away as I feel so guilty for bringing everyone down😔 I can feel myself changing and I don't like it, I have friends that have stopped returning my texts, I don't spend as much time with my children and feel it's really effecting relationships! Do any of you feel like this at times? Xx
Not everyone understand us and it sounds like your husband is being selfish. If your sick too it takes the spotlight off him. Make time for yourself. Take care of you. You can't please everyone so you got to please your self. Hugs
Your not alone, I wish I could just run away and start my life over. I have no support team at all. I've lost most of my friends because I can't get out or I have to cancel on them. I use to love driving and taking short trips on the weekends now I can't drive very often, I get so tired and sitting in the car well I'm dead when I get home. I use to go to families places Christmas evening and Christmas day, I can't do that anymore unless someone drives me and it's an hour and a half drive for Christmas day. Life can really suck but we have to push on, God I'm tired of saying that.
I think at some time or another we all do. I think when we are on overload we want to run away or hide as we can not see the offender to fight it. If what we had for a threat was a wild animal we could form a plan to fight but our bodies threat is invisible so our fight or flight refer has only one option - flight.
Of course. I think it's natural at some points to feel that way. To get a studio apt and become a shut in sounds like a #1 plan some days . But then I remember all that I'd be missing on those occasions when I can get out. Or the get well pictures my children draw me when I'm in a flare. Our disease can be so limiting but we can't let it limit our spirit.
I know its hard but try to find a little hobbie or something that will keep the mind busy I use the word search books and colouring in books I know it sounds silly but just takes your mind off it for a bit.
