I've expressed to my doctor that this fog along with fatigue are even more of a concern for me than the pain. It could result in me losing my job. I'm sorry that you experience this also.
When I was working I couldn't walk from my boss's desk to mine without forgetting what he asked me to do. So I started writing stuff down ALL THE TIME. Even right in his office! I just said," I want to make sure I got it straight" or "I have a lot to do today and I want to make sure this gets done" or some such reason.
I have found that doing word/number/brain teaser, etc. puzzles have helped greatly with fibro fog.
I did have to quit my job because of the fog. My short term memory was impossible to deal with and quite humiliating. Now, I just embrace it. I have it and it's not going anywhere.
Or it could just be due to the constant pain and fatigue of Fibromyalgia.
Yes, brain fog goes away! :-) Be sure your sleep is treated and then look for food or other sensitivities. It takes alot of detective work, but it is worth it!!!!!!!
For example, you ate chicken soup....after you notice brain fog is worse and you feel tired. Think about the ingredients in the soup.....chicken, carrots, salt, celery, H2 O.
Later eat some carrot only. You don't feel worse. You try celery, no serious problem. Next u eat some plain chicken. Your brain fog /fatigue feels worse. That's it, u r sensitive to chicken and u eliminate it from your diet...u will feel alot less brain fog and also other pain.
If u can t figure it out, a Nutrapathic Dr can test for these sensitivities.
The sensitivity could also be something like a chemical smell, so eliminate all household chemical cleaners, deodorizer, etc. They r all dangerous for us.
It is a big relief to get rid of brain fog.
In my case I was sensitive to broccoli and cranberries....I ingested them everyday in my expensive vitamins and organic drink!!! In one day after I found these out and eliminated them, I got alot of relief.
Pesticides can also help cause this brain fog, so going organic is important.
All is alot of work, but worth it in my opinion.
