Members opened up about the frustrating memory and cognitive challenges they face, sharing how fibro fog causes mid-sentence word loss, forgotten conversations, and difficulty following instructions that forced some to leave work or rely heavily on phone alarms and written reminders. Several members discussed potential supplements like B12 and CoQ10, with some finding that B12 may help with brain fog while others noted that reduced stress made a bigger difference than any supplement alone. The conversation took a compassionate turn toward end-of-life planning, with members encouraging each other to complete advance directives and health care powers of attorney to spare loved ones from making impossible decisions during a crisis.

I also remember something years ago being said about Co Enzyme Q10. Although I can't remember what or if it was ever any good to anyone

My biggest issue and why I had to quit working was I couldn't remember instructions any longer. Also - I would suffer from a loss of words mid sentence. I would pause to remember the word I was going to use and then - forget what I was talking about.

Made me look like a complete idiot. And... I have never been stupid or slow to learn. Fibromyalgia took away my ability to converse on a level I was used to. Anyone else have that difficulty?

I don't take any supplements for the memory issues, but I do add reminders & alarms on my phone constantly so I don't forget as much stuff.

I also read that Vitamin B12 helps with the brain fog and mid sentence forgetting issues.

On a serious note. Please put any " do not resuscitate " wishes in writing. Can download forms online.don't think about it like preparing for death. You could be in a car accident & left in a vegetative state. & even though most people say " never keep me alive on machines"
Its a huge burden on the family. & since none of us have a date, I even added a clause about if physician assisted passing if it ever became legal here. I feel very strongly about advance directives. Not having them can tear families apart, put tremendous guilt on your partner & create huge legal problems.consider making your MEDICAL power of attorney a non family member who is clear with yr wishes. Unfortunately even if you have advance directives your family can over ride them. Unrealistic ideas about recovery, emotional decision making because of mourning. They cant over ride your legal medical power of attorney (short of taking it to court) Everyone of age should have one and talk to your loved ones about your wishes..
