Hi,
I'm just wondering if anyone ever experiences a flushed feeling in their head, almost like you have a high fever. Sometimes I do have a low grade fever, or elevated body temperature, but other times I just feel heat in my head with no fever. This is recent for me, and I was diagnosed two years ago. My blood tests are normal. No infection or inflammation. Even my doctor is unsure what could be causing this heat sensation. Sometimes my skin is even hot as well, but no actual fever. Is this… read more

I may have to try this this sweating has got to stop its driving me crazy, I get so itchy after having a hot attack lol
I know I'm answering an older question here, but I have experienced the heat as well. Mine seems to be a physical response to stress or anxiety. Sometimes I take half a Xanax to ease the anxiety and the heat calms down.
I get real hot and sweet so bad I feel like I'm taking a shower in my skin.
I have the same. I don’t have fibromyalgia as far as I know. I got here Googling ‘hot head.’ :)At first I thought it was menopause as I’m 50 but the hotness doesn’t come in flashes. Just my head is really hot and my cheeks flushed. Really weird for a person like me who has always felt rather cold and turning up the heater higher than most people do. But know I’ve turned my heater off completely(!) as I feel so hot. I have a very very mild fever all the time but normal bloodresults. The hotness gets much worse when I lay down. I notice this every night. I then usually sit back up again to loose the hotness which then gets less immediately. I also get a very hot head after drinking a warm drink which I never had. I mean an abnormal increase in heat after which one has to take of half the clothes or stand outside to cool down after a warm drink. I can’t imagine this being menopause. Anybody know what this is?

I also am having trouble with fevers and feeling hot with no fever. I just had blood work done last week because I thought for sure I must have some kind of bug because I have been running fevers on and off for months now. Due to a change in my medical I couldn't see a Dr until last week. However ALL of the blood and urine tests came back normal so Dr said that all she could suggest was that I was experiencing a flare up of my fybro.
I didnt ask but I don't even know what that means. I was diagnosed with fybro 5 to 6 years ago but never followed up with my primary care Dr about it and then lost my medical.
