I have been took off amitriptyline and put on pregabalin, the first night I took it, it felt like I was very drunk, I wasn't in pain but had a weird tingling sensation through out my body. I did fall asleep rather quickly.
Last night I did the same.... But it didn't have any desired affect on me... Granted I did fall asleep at midnight but I'm at work tomorrow and need to be up at 6:30..... Not sure how I am going to be able to function.
Anyway I'm just wondering if anyone has been on them or… read more

Yes I have been on it before (and wish I was on it again, it helped so much) and in the beginning it made me feel SUPER drunk and "out of it"! Those side effects did wear off though.
Hi Rachel,
I have been on Pregabalin for several years. I started on the lowest dose and worked my way up gradually. I too felt somewhat dazed when I first started to take it, it's like any other medication until your body gets used to it. I find it has had the most affect on my pain but it's the same old story, what works for some doesn't work for others. I would give it a few weeks to get in your system properly before making your final decision whether it suits you or not. I rely solely on pregabalin twice daily and a small dose of deloxatine at bedtime. I do not take anything else for pain relief throughout the day. Hope this helps Each. Best wishes x
im on it, sadly made no difference to my pain or sleep x
Amitriptyline is used for headache pain. N sleep. It is also a antidepressant. R u sleeping worse? Maybe u should see a psychiatrist who will give u meds for sleep. When u have fibro all they can do is treat the symptoms. N u need a doctor that knows this. I'm on 12 pills n 4 vitamins. It's insane but each one helps with each symptom. .
I hope the lyrica can help u. Best of luck 💜
