I was just on 100 mg of pregabalin for daily migraines and Fibro pain. I know the reported side effects but would like to know what your experience has been.

Members shared a wide range of experiences with Lyrica (pregabalin) for migraines and fibromyalgia pain, with reactions varying from helpful to harmful. Several members reported difficult side effects including increased appetite and weight gain, fatigue, worsening depression, elevated blood pressure, and one member described severe suicidal thoughts on it. A recurring theme was frustration with finding effective treatment, with many still searching for relief and offering each other encouragement and hope heading into the new year.

I, too, became a lot more depressed on it, and even a fourth of a glass of wine would send me into an absolutely raging headache. I got that hungry-all-the-time feeling with Gabapentin, but it did lessen. I ended up coming off that as well, because it wasn't addressing my muscle pain. With Cyclobenzaprine, be aware that it is the only muscle relaxant that can cause physical dependence--only found that out after I'd been taking it 3x day for 10 years! My PCP weaned me off of the 30 mg dose 2.5 mg at a time after another idiot just told me to stop taking it, and the CNS withdrawal was horrific.

Sorry pregablin isn't working for you. I couldn't live without it.

@A MyFibroTeam Member, I am glad to know that the drowsiness goes away but I am usually the first person to gain weight. I did Noom for weight loss a couple years ago and the program included sending in my DNA to test for genetic reasons for weight gain. My results showed that I have a weight gain gene, I am predisposed to obesity, my system doesn't send a signal when I'm full, and a few other challenges. I can control what I eat pretty well these days and I'm hoping I can fight the weight gain from pregabalin. I'll keep an eye on the scale. Thank you, Sharon.

Hubby have night terrors. So he went down on gabapentein. He just needs to find a balance.
