Thanks for that, I am so sorry you cannot get any relief. One just keeps wondering what in our modern world might be contributing to the occurrence of Fibromyalgia.

I really can't answer your question and apparently science can't either. My first thought would be that the reason one is taking opiates might be what brought on the fibro.

I received Demerol, Valium and a muscle relaxant.

As a nurse I have given those meds hundreds of times. You will think that I didn't follow these people. In a small hospital you see people over and over. Besides many patients had a history of surgeries and Demerol was used frequently for pain at that time. No reaction with widespread pain.

Hope for better understating in the future.

so the trauma of the accident may have brought on Fibromyalgia? Or possibly medication prescribed after your accident? Either way really sorry.

I never took anything but thyroid pill before my accident.
