Has anyone ever had extreme abdominal and pelvic pain? I've been to the ER. Had xrays, labs, urine, etc. Suggested I see gyn, did it. Pap is negative, pelvic exam showed tenderness, transvaginal ultrasound was neg.
Suggested it may be fibro related or pelvic floor spasms.
This is excruciating pain and I just need to know if it's normal.

Members rallied around someone experiencing severe abdominal and pelvic pain that doctors suspected might be fibromyalgia-related or pelvic floor spasms, with many sharing that they had lived through similar agony and found relief. Several members credited physical therapy as transformative for releasing muscle spasms, while others discovered their pain stemmed from overlooked causes like scar tissue from previous surgeries, interstitial cystitis, gallbladder issues, or celiac disease and gluten intolerance. A recurring theme was the frustration of being dismissed by doctors and the importance of persisting until the true cause is found, whether through dietary changes, targeted therapy, or necessary surgery.

I don't know if it is normal but I was diagnosed with it a couple of years ago I can tell you more if you want What cured me was 6 weeks of pt Bits is stress related and maybe fibro My fibro diagnosis came a little later I have never had them again after doing the physical therapy Yes the spasms are very painful What they do is apply pressure to the muscles which spasm and they will release

I started having really bad pain on my left side in that area. I literally couldn't lay or stand right for 11 mos. The pain wasNONSTOP. Drs kept telling me it was my back injury but I kept telling them it was my hip that hurt. Finally went to a gyn and he removed massive amounts of scar tissue the next week.besides by my hip I had a large band going to the top of my abdomen literally curling me into a ball.
It was horrible pain!!!

I had scar tissue that caused those symptoms. Very painful until they removed it.

Have you had any type of surgery in that area? could be scar tissue which can't be seen in any test.
