Yes, I find it take my mind of the pain as I concentrate on the gentle breathing in and out and think I am getting all this fresh air and oxygen to help me heal. Anything to take your mind of the pain helps me, music is another thing. If I am really sore I listen to my favourite tracks and sort of relax and concentrate on the pain to recede in the background. Your mind if you train it will conquer constant pain by relaxation techniques.
I also have the latest mask which is very light and sits only over your nose, so you can watch television if you wish before falling asleep. I will try and post my latest mask. If you stick with it you wont go without it because it will give you lovely restful sleep.
How long have you had your equipment for Sleep Apnea? Make sure you have the proper fit if its hurting you? Is it to tight? Go online and check to see whats new. You may find a different kind of breathing mask that is better. Don't stop using your equipment though its important for your health. Good luck
I have obstructive sleep apnea so I have a CPAP machine that I used occasionally
Mine is the Swift NasAL pillow FX on your link. I haven't used the nasal pillows by themselves but might trial them on my next visit.
Oh also from what My sa Dr told me, it's better to use it, because with all of my illness, it Best for me to stay as well as I can, and my cpap helps my body and brain and seeing that I don't get the rest my body needs from my pain and not using the cpap can also make me hurt more if not used. I have to use mine anytime I nap or go to sleep. Praying all goes well with you. Hugs
