Sometimes when I wake up from one of these dreams they seem so real that it takes me a few minutes to realize where I am. I am thinking that they are the result of all the meds I take for depression, bi-polar, fibro, arthritis, herniated discs, etc.

Members connected over experiencing vivid, intensely realistic dreams that blur the line between sleep and waking, with several attributing them to fibromyalgia itself while others linked them to medications for bipolar disorder, depression, and other conditions. Several members described more severe experiences, including night terrors, sleep paralysis where they feel trapped between dreaming and waking unable to move, parasomnia with thrashing and gasping for breath, and sleep-related movements like talking or gesturing while asleep. A recurring theme was the frightening and disorienting nature of these experiences, met with mutual understanding and encouragement to discuss symptoms with doctors and explore both medication side effects and underlying sleep disorders.

I have them every nite since I was a kid. I am Bipolar and take meds too. The vivid dreams can be a side effect of the meds.

I have super vivid and real dreams and I do not take any medication. This is fibro at least for me.
