Swollen Lymph Nodes For Months
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hello,

Has anyone experienced consistently swollen lymph nodes in the neck? I have had two on one side that refuse to go down and it's been months. Seeing an ENT tomorrow and getting anxious. Tonight I'm trying a professional lymphatic massage. I'm starting to wonder if I have CFS as well. Thanks

Mat

Hello All,

Here is the update:

ENT did a physical examination (including feeling the lymph nodes) and said he wasn't concerned. However to make sure he ordered an ultra sound. He said the nodes felt fine, and that lymph nodes will swell up occasionally for no reason. It is part of a fluctuating process that lymph nodes normally go through. He also mentioned that the swollen lymph nodes even over 2cm can be from Fibro or CFS.

That said, if you are worried about your lymph nodes please ask your doctor for an ultra sound or for a referral to an ENT. At least for piece of mind.

I've have the same problem for months. Spoke to Rheumatologist and she requested I do some blood tests and she said my inflammation levels was high so she suspects I have RA despite RA test being negative. She said that happens where you a false negative.
So basically get checked to see what it may be.

I have two very swollen lymph nodes on one side of my neck. They've been that way for years, ever since I had a really severe virus, and doctors always notice them but can't explain why they're like that.

Has anyone had any luck finding any answers? I have a swollen node in my neck that feels hard but movable & non painful and according to scan is 7mm although it feels a lot bigger, at least an inch I'd say! Any how they are not concerned, however I still am and now feel aches at the side of armpits and sometimes other areas of my body. I am continuing to pursue.
