It's called allodynia and is another symptom related with fibro. I don't personally have allodynia but you are certainly not the only one! Hope you find ways to manage it!

I have to wear my clothing loose fitting. My pants have to have elastic stretch waist. I look like a slob and I feel like death. Joyous isn't it. Shoes hurt no matter how big they are because they are touching my skin.

My doctor prescribed the Neurontin for me and a lot of the skin scraping went away. I never wear necklines that are too close to my neck and face. I have found that is where my skin pain starts. I use layers and I am thankful I live in a mild climate. I wear cotton clothes mostly. I do not wear any hosiery, tights. I wear slipper socks in the Fall, Winter and Spring. I have found these things to be helpful. I also went up to larger size in underwear and bras are now a 38 instead of a 36. Good luck.
