I keep hurting myself because I am so uncoordinated. I am dizzy, too, but I think that might be the gabapentin? I feel like I am unbalanced and have a hard time walking in a straight line.

@A MyFibroTeam Member Lyrica is one of the Worst meds to take. Not only did it not help me in any way shape, form. It caused severe weight gain. Like I needed that. It also caused my blood pressure to skyrocket and I don't know which one did it, I was on Savella as well. But I started having a heart murmur. I have vowed to stay away from new meds that Drs have been told are gonna help ppl w/FM. If it hasn't been out for a while I don't take it. Not that any prescribed meds are good for the body. Technically they are poisons that mask certain symptoms and cause certain chemical reactions. I am still on prescribed meds. However, my goal is to take natural homeopathic remedies. In addition to chiropractic treatment, massage & I am considering the cryotherapy. Western medicine isn't gonna help us heal. Even though it can help us control or at least make our symptoma better in the meantime.
Gabapentin is the worst, please research the side effects for this medication. For me personally, I fell on deaths door because of this medication. Be sure to take B12 if you continue to take it. It will deplete your B12 level and this can give you many more issues, including but limited to nerve damage. Google it and you will read about it.
Yes, walls have been bumping into me for the longest. I complained awhile ago to my Dr. about it but my neurologist couldn't find anything so it was dismissed. I also started dropping things, my grip weakened and when I walk it's usually not in a straight line. My reflexes have become quicker in order to catch the things that I drop. My daughter has the same symptoms as well.
I am off balance too but then again i have been diagnosed with positional vertigo. the gabapentin does not help as much as it used to. Dr. will probably increase it next week when I see him. I am going because my memory loss is getting to be too much. I forget to pay bills, what i want at the store, peoples names and words to describe something or the name of a particular item. I can look at something and not remember the name of it. I cant have this when running a business. True the business is not big but I still have to pay attention or I will be overpaying or not paying.
I get so dizzy, I am unable to move. Head spins and sick to my stomach. My coordination is horrible. Hope you feel better soon. Hugs
