Shock Like Waves In Arms And Hands
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Anyone else have that electric shock feeling that goes down both arms? And if so, what do you take? When this happens my hands get weak.

I asked my neuro and he said it's the Fibro. If I understood him right, it's caused by the Central Nervous System in the brain sending mixed up messages to the nerves in the spine which branches out to the arms and hands, if that makes sense. I woke up this morning and it's really bad.

When I was really ill I had what I called BB's rolling in my blood. Someone else described it as like a cell phone vibrating in his bloodstream. It isn't really painful just very annoying. But I have Lyme disease as well as fibro.

Get this frequently. Just our central nervous system in over-drive. I just let it pass if possible. Otherwise, the only alternative is Lyrica. I refuse this medication because of the side effects.

I get electric shocks in my feet/ankles every now et then. But I have diabetes in family so I get tested every year esp. both parents had/have et my chances of getting are higher. Maybe a for of neuropathy starting?? I go et get checked out cannot hurt. Could be start of carpal tunnel too??
