I've been coughing since a serious chest infection in March. Never gets discussed at the doctors as there is always something else. But like you send it seems to come in spells for a few days then other days I hardly notice it. It's on the list to dicuss. I was told that it can take 6 weeks after treatment for me to improve but it just seems to be dragging. Chest xray was clear x

I was coughing a lot at all hours of day and night when I spoke with my doctor I was told it was a side effect of one of my meds (can't recall the name--fog) the doc changed my med and the coughing gradually stopped... Hope your better soon soft hugs

I was told Fibro folks produce more mucous ...... I use Mucinex OTC .... stays thin & easy to cough out ....

I have coughing spells were I can't breathe and just wheez.

I've never smoked, had asthma and only occasionally get colds which turn. into bronchitis. The past month, I have had very severe coughing spams when I lay down along with a Loy post nasal drip. I'd had fibro for 20+ years, but this is a brand new symptom which has me baffled. My heart rate shoots ups, I get hot an basically just miserable. Sometimes, the coughing happens during the day. It feels like I've swallowed somthing that went down the wrong way! Any help about what's going on would be most helpful. Many thanks and gentle hugs to all our Fibro-Warriors!
