I feel like I'm in a flare when my pain levels go through the roof and stay there. My meds do nt seem to be working. I sweat a lot from the pain and I am exhausted. Then I have chills from the pain. Everything hurts and no thing will help . My anxiety will usually kick in to overdrive.

It's like a big heavy blanket has been placed on your back and you don't have the strength to carry it. Did I mention the blanket is wet and full of thorns?

Gentle hugs to you. May you feel better soon. 🌈

Actually what you described is me everyday. A flare, I believe, is when all of your descriptions are so much worse. This is when I get in a hot bubble bath for about an hour. On these days I usually take three to four baths.
The whole experience is very Scarry. Everyday its something new. My poor body is so tired. I'm 68... a young 68.

I flare is when you can't "manage" your symptoms.

For me a flare up is when I refuse to stop and rest when I feel the pain rising..then its too late no meds will work..if I manage my pain level..and stop and rest in between..it usually does not turn into a flare...a flare to me is pain wayyyy off the chart..!!!
