Hi guys,
I've just woken up after getting terrible cramps in my legs. They say you should take magnesium for this. The fact is I have been taking high doses due to a new treatment plan. Does anyone else get cramps in their legs/calves at night?

Thanks
Rebecca

Members rallied around someone experiencing severe nighttime leg cramps despite taking magnesium, sharing a wide range of remedies that have worked for them personally. Several members recommended staying well hydrated, eating bananas for potassium, taking Epsom salt baths, using magnesium spray topically, stretching and massaging affected muscles, and getting blood work to check for vitamin deficiencies in D, C, and B vitamins. A recurring theme was the relentless nature of fibromyalgia-related cramps affecting calves, feet, and even hands, with many members expressing solidarity over the pain and offering encouragement to keep trying different approaches until something brings relief.

I was getting them very bad and found out I had a vitamin d deficiency. Best bet is to get lab work done to see what vitamin supplements you may need.

Usually when you get muscle cramps it's a potassium deficiency.

I deal with the leg cramps in my calves and even worse in my feet...big toe will go one way and the toes will go another...looks like I am crippled and hurts something awful. Massage seems to help and happens after I have walked a lot or stood in one place very long...darn this Fibro...dont think that I have a muscle in my body that isn't affected at one time or another. I also get the spasms in my hands and wrists.
