I'm in a fair bit of pain today, I can barely move, I feel sick, and my breathing is slightly laboured. none of that is particularly unusual but what's worrying me the most is that I feel like I can't take care of myself, I haven't eaten and don't feel like I can't make myself food or even get a drink but in my mind it seems ridiculous to go to hospital.

They helped me with stronger pain meds and sleeping pills and a bed for a few days. Helped me immensely to be away from the stress and strains of home life also.
Years ago I felt the same and when I did get to hospital they were angry that I had waited so long. It's time to go when you feel you should.
I agree. My doctor told me that since we deal with pain constantly we get so used to it that what might tell the doctor our pain level is at a 3 for others that would be like a 7. So for you to even be considering going to hospital then go. It is always better safe than sorry. You will be in my thoughts.
I been threw that . I know what you mean about going to the hospital. for your health it would be a good idear just to get things checked out.and if you do go just let them know how you are feeling and if you don't think they are listening keep telling them how you feel .its your body and you know how you feel,i had a few unpleasant experices with hospitals but when I feel real bad I go,hope this helps
I felt the inability to cook myself anything, and whilst my husband supposed to be my carer I could not and still can't rely on him.
So I started using superfoods smoothies, making sure I had a wide variety of ingredients so not to be boring. I've been doing this now for about four years. Sometime three such meals a day, at least I eat.
Any of the protein shakes or so called diet formulas are excellent. Hope this helps with the food side of you problems.
