Ok so I know that Vitiam defency is associate with fibromyalgia but I get bruises that pop up out of the blue on my arms and legs and don't know why. Is animia also part of fibromyalgia? If not why would I be getting bruises for unknown reasons?

@A MyFibroTeam Member just on my thighs I get huge lumps, or knots. I have wondered if they are lipoma's I think my doctor has told me it was fatty deposits, but they get very big and are painful. I think that is where some of my bruising comes from when I scratch and scratch. Terrible!!! (((gentle hugs)))

I have the same thing, and have had it off and on for years. In 2006 my doctor sent me to a hematologist and he found nothing wrong. When it started happening again about 2 months ago, they felt it was medicine. I had to go off gabapentin and celebrex for about 2 weeks. All the bruises when away, as well as the diarrhea, but when I tried gabapentin again, diarrhea came back. Since I'm back on celebrex and now lyrica, I don't have the bruises.

My thighs are the worst. You know with Fibro we itch...I scratch and I bruise. I have had weight loss surgery so I have Vitamin B and D deficiency. I had labs drawn last year and was found to be anemic. I had to get 3 iron infusions. I find bruises all the time that I have no idea where they come from. But yes. We are immuno compromised. That's a fun part of this condition!! (((gentle hugs)))
