Hello my friends I have a question. Do any of you bruise easily and if yes can this be caused by fibromyalgia? I know one of my bruises I fell but the others I don't know how I got them. Thank you in advance💜

Members overwhelmingly confirmed that they also bruise easily, often discovering mysterious bruises they don't remember getting, with many noting that bruises take longer to heal than they used to. Several members shared practical insights, including checking for anemia or iron deficiency, considering whether medications like blood thinners contribute to bruising, and trying vitamin C supplements (particularly time-released formulas at 1000mg daily) to strengthen blood vessels and reduce bruising. A recurring theme was the intersection of fibromyalgia with balance issues, clumsiness, and slower healing, with strong encouragement to mention persistent or worsening bruising to a doctor to rule out serious underlying conditions.

@A MyFibroTeam Member, I think that you are correct about Fibro causing balance problems. I am also on blood thinners but do not bruise easily. I think it is because I take large doses of time released Vit C 2 times a day. Gentle hugs.

I seem to be more 'clumsy' than ever. I bump into things, drop stuff, etc. I get bruises that I don't know when/how I got them and I imagine it's a combo of FM and medications, not to mention a lifetime of various injuries that affect you more as you age.

I get unknown bruises all the time. Not sure if they're related to fibro, but heck, just about everything else is! 😞

I take a blood thinner and do not bruise easily. If this continues, you need to consult your doctor. This can be an indication of a serious condition. Please do not ignore, because most can be treared. I just want to be sure you are ok. Gentle hugs.

I take 1000mg time release bit C daily so that may be why I don't bruise easily. If you take a large dose it is better to use the time release formula. Gentle hugs
